We offer all types of tree work including crown reducing, removing and shaping, crown lifting and pollarding to all types of trees throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Our staff are fully qualified and insured for all work carried out. All tree rubbish is removed after each job.
Crown reduction is used when a tree has outgrown its space and by reducing the crown it provides a more natural appearance than traditional lopping. Whilst it increases the time before further pruning is required it can cause pruning wounds making the tree more vulnerable to decay and disease.
Crown lifting is the removal of branches to increase space around the trunk and lower part of the tree. Ideally the tree crown should represent two-thirds of the total height of the tree.
Pollarding is the cutting back of the branches to the main trunk with the crown removed. This can maintain a specific height and shape of the tree. A tree once pollarded will require annual maintenance.
Where a tree needs removing whether it is diseased, dead or providing an obstacle we can remove the tree and stump to provide a clear space.
